If highly remunerated senior managers aren't implementing an organisation's strategy, what are they being paid for? Not just singling out CSU here, this is very common. First senior managers remove themselves from operational work, to devise supposedly brilliant strategies. Which they then get somebody else, often consultants, to write for them anyway. Then they pay somebody else to implement them. The great genius of MBA-driven management is to vastly increase what a senior manager gets paid, while vastly decreasing the meaningful work they have to do.
