Some more details about Teslas, we chose them for their brilliant engineering. Their engineering design not only targets everything that makes them incredible family cars, they’re also brilliant driver’s cars with hypercar performance, while being the most efficient cars in the world. They have extraordinary software that they add features to all the time over the air. And they’re also the safest cars in the world. Have a look at the stats. In Australia, the Model Y achieved the highest safety rating of any vehicle ever assessed by ANCAP, in 2025. The Model 3 was the top performer in the Medium Car category. In the US, the Model Y has been awarded the safest car on the road every year for the past 5 years. The Model 3 also won in 2025. In Europe, the Model Y has posted some of the highest scores ever recorded in winning there as well. Why are Teslas so safe? Because they’re deliberately designed and engineered to be. They have a very low centre of gravity, which makes them extremely difficult to roll over in an accident. They have massive crumple zones, because with no engine at the front the entire front area can absorb shock in a collision. And their semi-autonomous AI software is like having 3 extra drivers protecting you. And they have enormous, designed structural rigidity, created by their ‘skateboard’ chassis and the use of large single-piece castings in the Model Y that prevent the cabin collapsing in an impact. This also makes them far easier to build and maintain. The photo shows a Tesla ‘Giga Press’, that creates these single-piece castings. In addition, Model Ys use HEPA air filtering, which removes pollutants from the outside air for passengers. Previously the fastest and safest and most efficient and most family-friendly and most technologically advanced cars were all different cars, by different manufacturers. Tesla’s engineering genius puts all of that into a single car. Add their sublime Supercharging network, and no requirement for servicing and more or less free fuel, at a family car price, and it’s an extraordinarily compelling buy.
