They’ve openly admitted nuclear energy does nothing to lower prices (it actually would make prices go up hugely). So they’re scrambling with a gas backup plan, which was always really what the nuclear plan was about (the gas industry are big LNP chums). To delay renewables so they can drill a shitload more gas wells. Since 2015, Australian gas production has tripled. Gas prices have also tripled. At this point it really is a matter of how dumb you are.
