"More than three million households across Australia now own solar panels, with the time it takes for a 7 kilowatt (kw) system to pay for itself in lower power bills falling to a record low 3.4 years." The panels themselves are warranted for 20-25 years. More than two decades of pure profit, to you (remembering that profit is also the money you're no longer paying for electricity, not just what you get for selling back to the grid). And in that 3.4 year payoff period, your cash-flow will be better than it is now, you'll make more money from saved bills than you will paying off the system. Money for jam. Or keep paying thousands instead every year to support your favourite slogan, like 'when the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow'. 🤪
