Neighbourhood Watch runs in several countries. The idea being the community more engaged in assisting in the prevention and reporting of crime. So here’s my idea. We need something similar for roads. For example, motorists who drive particular stretches of road regularly could have dashcams paid for by government, and could submit footage of incidents they see. The ultimate ‘unmarked car’. And hugely cheaper than more highway patrol cars or speed cameras.
