I still get people telling me ‘we need to learn to live with this virus’. What they mean is we need to constantly lie about being sick, so that we can fit in with the peer pressure that says the pandemic is over. I see it everywhere, people saying things like ‘it’s just a cold’, or ‘it’s just hayfever’ (having done no testing). Or they say nothing at all, and just go to work and family things, sick. This is a social phenomenon. We NEED to pretend the pandemic is over, otherwise we stand out from the crowd.
