The Hitler Youth are an example of the power of children. The Nazis targeted children specifically, and nearly every child in Germany at the time became part of the Hitler Youth. The process was so successful that the Allies after the war had to do an enormous amount of work to de-programme these same children. These were Hitler’s most zealous soldiers and supporters (except for maybe that little fella second from the right). Many assume Hitler bullied his way to power, but you can’t bully your way to power - he seduced the young. All power is seduction. Who has today’s children’s hearts and minds?
