The commentary from media personalities, to me, show the way we substitute outrage and sentiment for understanding. Lisa Wilkinson, ffs, who does the tear-jerker puff pieces now on The Project, devoid of any real insight or intelligence and calculated entirely to just make people cry and feel 'serious' feelings. If people would suspend their outrage and instant emotional response for even a short time and tried to understand the complexity of what Greer is saying here - really THINK, hard - they may see this is a more complex issue than our emotional outrage suggests.
