Weight Watchers was bankrupted by the Gliptins. Jenny Craig closed all of its physical stores and is barely hanging on through online products. The USA spends $2.3 trillion annually on obesity-related health conditions. Much of its heavily privatised health system makes its money dealing with these conditions. The Gliptins will decimate most of this. Existing health care will cling for dear life to the existing business model. It won't save it.
