My workplace has a big Christmas party this afternoon. Covid is rife in the building this week, but the party will go ahead. Who knows how many will then take Covid home for Christmas. I won’t be going. For my own health, that of my friends and family, and to play some small part in getting rid of this lethal disease. Social media suggests to me I’ll be in the overwhelming minority, nation-wide. People would rather die than do something different to what everybody else is doing. We never leave high school, peer pressure is the driving force of everything we do.
