I sometimes think it’s just a total absence of basic science. Here’s the argument for fighting climate change, in the most basic scientific terms. Fossil fuels took HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of years to accumulate, from sunshine. We’ve burned it all in UNDER 300 YEARS. We burn 16 BILLION litres of oil in the world, every DAY. We burn 8 BILLION tonnes of coal every year. We burn 3640 TRILLION litres of gas every year. Where do we think the pollution from all of that burning goes? Are we really that stupid?
