I worked with Ange at CSU, she was in marketing. Years ago now she left to create her own marketing company, which has been very successful. I saw this opinion piece from her on Linkedin, about the impact of AI on marketing. It's a potential wrecking ball for the marketing industry, which Ange of course sees as a real worry. I thought the opposite. Using her words: "LLMs collapse that (marketing) journey. Ask “what’s the best-value family car?” and the machine researches, compares, and recommends in seconds. Wonderful for consumers. More complicated for brands." To me that says AI cuts through the bullshit and goes straight to the data. Marketers got very good at gaming social media's algorithms too. AI doesn't care about any of that. Like I always say, it's destroying our social media, branded world a day at a time. It can't happen fast enough. https://roastbrief.us/aussies-love-an-underdog-but-do-the-machines/
