I’ve felt this more every day of my life. At last count I’ve been in high school for about 42 years. Workplaces behave just like high schools, middle-aged adults have ‘besties’, grown adults are more interested in their favourite bands and curating their online presence, than in the entire population being infected repeatedly with a lethal virus. I'm not looking forward to retirement because I want to stop work, I'm looking forward to it because I might finally be free of high school.
