Notice how a treasurer always points to graphs when talking about ‘the economy’? That’s because those graphs are the only place it exists. The economy is a statistical construction. I wish that was better understood, it’s the biggest grown up fairytale of all. Or maybe it’s a tie for first with ‘gravity pulls/pushes me down.’
