Here's an idea for 'stimulating the economy'. How about diverting the vast rivers of taxpayer dollars flowing to Canberra, to State and local government, where the services people use actually are? At the moment Canberra sits on its mountain of taxpayer gold, and even hands tens of billions of dollars of it away in tax cuts to foreign companies, while our roads, schools, water, electricity etc. are falling apart.
