Despite the language used, Covid doesn’t infect in ‘waves’. It’s not like Russia and Ukraine, marshalling troops for the next surge. Humans spread Covid. We are the waves. Waves go down when we take precautions, and go up when we don’t. That’s literally all that happens. If you think this will just stop by itself, ponder that smallpox followed this pattern for well over 3000 years.
