Jeremy Corbyn is described as ‘extreme’ because he advocates returning basic public services to public hands, and taxing the well-off to fund those services. You can see just how deep the opposing conservative stories are in our psyche that these seem radical acts. I doubt he’ll win, Shorten tried a similar platform. Too many of us now are ‘aspirational’, meaning we bought the lie that common-wealth is some evil commie plot.
