If you listen to car enthusiasts (people who think a good car is one that makes broom broom noises), the current shift to electric cars is destroying the soul of cars. But you can see how full of shit they are if you look at trends going back many years. They always were a highly antisocial outlier, teenagers who refused to grow up.
