I was so excited a few years back when I found out about ASMR recordings. For years I’d wondered why sound itself could be so profoundly relaxing for me, sometimes the most trivial things, like people turning pages in a magazine, or a clipped, soft voice. ASMR captures a lot of the key sounds that produce these effects, and it turns out in millions of people. I find it more powerful than music often now. A much richer, more multi-dimensional sound. Like the glorious, late Bob Ross. Watching his painting videos soothes many souls.
