Going back to copies and originals. It’s a chicken and egg thing, the original comes after the copy. Before something is copied, there are no originals. With music, rock and pop music is obsessed with originals, whereas all other types of music do ‘covers’ all the time. A symphony orchestra is really just a big covers band. Have posted about this before, but now with a slightly different slant. What defines humans more than anything else is that they imitate, or copy. What do you think or do that is original, and not just copied from some other person or group? Can you think of anything?
