I like Kate. But Kate grew up in a boarding school. All of her own children will spend most of their childhood in boarding schools. How’s that for disconnection. The same parents and families going to war with devices are rapidly disconnecting from their traditional (horizontal) communities, in favour of massive *connection* with multiple vertical (online) communities. Towns and families are now just where people plug-in to ‘connect’ and recharge, in their vertical communities.
