From the Council courtyard, firsthand example of one of Tony Rinaudo’s underground forests. A tree was chopped down in the courtyard a couple of years ago. It continues to live underground, now it’s re-shooting. His work suggests a lot of attempts at tree planting are both doomed and possibly unnecessary. You just need to allow the roots of the old trees to sprout again.
