Jimmy Fallon is part of a new breed of talk show host where everything is about him, the host. And part of the spreading culture of commercial radio too, where everything is about cutesy pranks and stunts. Imagine being a celebrity rocking up to these shows and being constantly asked to be a bit player in one of their cutesy set ups. Incredibly tedious. ‘Can’t we just have a chat?’ is what I’d say.
