In the absence of catastrophes, like natural disasters or wars, human societies just battle each other for status, in status hierarchies. Like we do at school. Only catastrophes force societies to stop doing that, and change. You can see it here, with the pandemic. The only meaningful progress against both climate change and poverty in our lifetimes came from a catastrophe. ‘Living with’ Covid is a con high status groups sold to the public, as a way to reverse this reversal. They saw (rightly) their status being threatened. So now we’re all stewing in infections, so they get their status back. They’re doing the same with mass brainwashing about the evils of windmills and solar panels and EVs.
