The fuel tankers that deliver the fuel to all parts of Australia travel a distance each year equivalent to travelling from the Earth to the Sun, and back, and then back to the Sun again. They use over 200 million litres of diesel themselves, just to move the fuel. The whole thing is laughably and grossly inefficient, hugely subsidised by governments for well over a century. The electricity grid by comparison is already plugged in to most locations. The energy it provides doesn’t need to be transported anywhere. And it moves at the speed of light to where it’s needed. Time to ignore the stupid people and just get on with doing obvious things.
