Free child care (not free - you pay for it through your taxes, conservatives are devious with language) isn't 'sustainable'. $150 billion in permanent tax cuts is though. Wouldn't it have been refreshing to hear him say back then 'we need to balance these tax cuts against the need for affordable childcare'. But balance is only for economies.
