After trashing: - parliament through populism - the press by constant talk of 'fake news' - universities by constant attack on academics - civil service by constant attack on bureaucrats - unions by constant attacks, and - schools by constant attack on teachers, modern neoconservatives have hit a wall with the last institution that resists them. The law. They've tried to trash it too, by talking about 'activist judges' for example, and in the US you can even buy yourself a judge. But for now it's holding on, barely.
