Can you do everything you do, as all of you? To explain what I mean. See here a child picking something up. And an adult. The adult ‘bends down’, meaning using their hips like a hinge, and the lower half of their body becomes frozen by tight muscles, doing nothing. They’re only using about half their body. (If those muscles didn’t tighten by the way, the person would roll head-first into the ground. The body is smart, it always looks to protect your balance.) The child on the other hand uses their whole body to pick the thing up. There’s no ‘bending down’. They don’t have to think about it, it takes years of NOT using your whole body, as an adult, to learn to only use bits of it at a time. Try using your whole body, in everything you do. Sitting, standing, walking, playing an instrument. Anything. Like the child you don’t have to ‘do’ anything, to do that. No need to think it out. Just shift your perception of you to include your whole body, rather than just bits. It will do the rest, no need to ‘bend the knees’ or other rubbish people say. The body will figure all that out. It will change your life. Your entire body will be ‘worked out’, by everything you do. You won’t need a gym. Your breathing will be effortless, as will your circulation.
