Already hearing the climate deniers roll out their You Tube wisdom, about the European heatwave. That ‘Europe has had heat waves before’. This isn’t a heat wave, it’s a heatING, a permanent shift upwards in temperature. To explain this graph, it shows difference in average temperature, using 1981-2020 as a baseline. The entire 20th century was *below* that baseline.
