In the pandemic Australia has sacked over 40,000 of the smart people who do this sort of work. Meantime TAFE will again be free, to fund the desperate shortage of tradies, a shortage that’s mostly an already bloated housing sector churning out homes nobody can afford to live in. Taxpayers as always funding a parasitic lobby group, that won’t even pay for its own training. We’re an old society that is miles away from even replacing itself with new babies. If we don’t get smart, fast, it’s over for us.
