Spirit, shall we @[584373168:2048:Peita] and @[100001374621876:2048:Kato]? I'd like to use Rowan Williams again as a starter, one of the great religious minds of our age I think. Spirit as kenosis. The Holy Fool: "Yet holiness is not the self’s erasure, but its intensification. Williams is fond of the analogy of a musician’s performance: the musician becomes more gloriously herself as she allows her own ego to become completely transparent to the mind and intention of the composer. The performer’s kenosis is not emptiness but true fullness, a ‘saturation’ in which one self lovingly yields to another. In this act of willed displacement, the self becomes more acute, more distinctive, yet also more expansive and elastic and capable of giving." http://www.melbourneanglican.org.au/NewsAndViews/TMA/Pages/2012/2012-05/In-focus-Rowan-Williams-and-the-%27holy-fool%27-tradition.aspx
