I think I drove some of my friends mad by always asking ‘what does ‘we’ mean?’ We is one of society’s genuine mysteries. What is it? Yes it’s all of us, as a group, but how does that group actually hold together and work? What’s brilliant about Brexit is that I think it’s showing us that we don’t have any idea what ‘we’ is. While things are working ok, it seems an obvious question. But look at the UK right now, nobody can say what ‘we’ want. Nobody even knows what ‘we’ is. But everybody talks about what ‘we’ should be doing.
