While on coronavirus, I hear a lot of people say “it doesn’t kill more than the flu does”. At the moment it has a mortality rate higher than the flu, but that may come down. But what people maybe forget is that 50-70% of the population don’t get the flu at once, there’s in-built immunity in the community. There’s zero immunity to coronavirus. We can hope it ends up a mild event, but right now there’s a sort of cocky ‘this is no big deal’ that’s dangerous I think.
