We hear a lot about mental health these days, and resilience. At a time when life is actually easier than at any other time in history. So what’s going on? Nietzsche knew. Humans will endure any hardship, so long as there’s a higher purpose to what they’re asked to do. Like in the world wars. Our supposed epidemic of mental health issues isn’t about psychology. It’s a culture lacking higher purpose. Focused only on ‘living a good life’. Like life is a Contiki tour. A kidult culture. Without adult aims.
