We’re destroying younger generations. Their health, their wealth. Our birth rate is so low we’re not even replacing ourselves. It’s difficult to get older generations (of which I’m one, only one year off being a boomer) interested in this. They won’t acknowledge this situation, to do anything about it. The whole of Australian life has been hollowed out, read the details in this article, we’re a quarry for rich foreign mining and energy companies. The piddling royalties we get are vacuumed up by older generations. We don’t build things, we make fake money by bidding up prices on houses. Mines make money, but most of it goes offshore, and the industry employs effectively nobody at a national level. We import nearly all of our energy, making Texans and Arabs rich.
