Was reading a book on the weekend, which made the suggestion that rather than have wars between Science and Religion, it's much better to move away from names of things like that and ask instead - what is the 'supreme authority' you see in life, and how does it work? That conversation can open up interesting points of discussion and understanding between people. Also, is there a person who doesn't place something at that 'supreme authority' point, in their existence? The thing that is their ultimate rationale for everything? I doubt it, there's always something, even if it isn't a Being.
