The Blue Mountains looks like a 'natural' wonder. But actually it's a landscape in serious trouble, once again because we either trash it, or treat it with kid gloves (make it into a national park). The Madonna-whore complex translated across to landscapes. We don't have any meaningful agency in this landscape. This would matter less if no humans had ever had such a role, but the entire area was shaped over tens of thousands of years, by human hands. They were a critical part of how the landscape actually worked.
