Social media has made all needed social change almost impossible, bogged down in endless fake debates. The smartest thing the ALP can do right now is target households with full electrification for their homes. Heavily subsidise solar, electric appliances, and batteries, and install batteries at community and grid level too. Regulate emissions standards for cars to give a fast boost to EV take-up. Fast, cheap, immediate cost of living relief for everybody, and also the most effective new way to build the grid. It also bypasses most of the morons on social media, and the wreckers in the LNP with their nuclear fantasies.
