Over 40 people at my workplace have Covid. Meantime I have some friends who have been allowed to work from home for the past 2 years, or who are retired, telling me the whole thing is not as bad as is made out. I’m sure it isn’t, from the comfort of your couch. The overwhelming push to ‘live with’ a disaster while it’s still a disaster is more evidence that society is a giant high school. It’s an adolescent way of thinking about things, not adult responsibility. Society would rather not tidy its room.
