Crispian Chan, a Chinese-Australian. Australians don’t like being called racist, a country that even had a ‘White Australia’ policy and that regularly votes for Pauline Hanson and to ‘stop the boats’. Those who’ve experienced racism know it’s a lie. It’s all over the No campaign in this referendum, with all the usual sly ways to hide it behind clever rationalisations. I was called a Nazi regularly as a kid. Unlike the trend today of curling up in a ball and saying it hurts my mental health, it’s always just made me more fiercely mocking of this bullshit and of the people who sign up to it. Without the balls to even admit what they’re doing. I see you, you’re pathetic, weak and ridiculous, and destroying what’s left of our international reputation.
