When this song came out I remember it being mesmerising for just about everybody. Very few knew who it was at first. Its influence also goes way further than many realise. This one song was the main inspiration for Michael Jackson's Thriller album, the one that made him the biggest act in the world. When visiting Queen recording this song, he said: 'That's where I want to be. That's what I want to do.' The bridge between black/funk and rock music. Queen's own Hot Space album tried to do the same, 2 years after this. Jackson beat them to the punch. Queen, as so often was the case, were there first. https://youtu.be/rY0WxgSXdEE?si=Xq2icSJWNaQlI-pk
