Germaine at 80. I'm sure this is mostly why people don't like her. Our ideas are our lives, challenge ideas and you challenge lives. We're mostly slaves to our ideas I think, we don't even realise how everything we think, do and feel is driven by our ideas. “Why people can’t hear unpalatable truths I don’t know. If you want to confute something, you need to hear it, you need to hear the argument, and then you need to actually spend brain power working out why that argument is not valid, or not tolerable."
