Usual alarmist silliness. The solution is simple. Not less Facebook, but less personal sharing on Facebook. It’s a social site, it’s about humans as a community, not as individuals, about sharing our common concerns and interests. When people use it to (usually selectively) post only about themselves as individuals or as a family, the damage starts because then your personal life is being compared to and judged by the community. And slowly comparison becomes the main game. That’s how teenagers live, and why they’re often miserable.
