EVs are already changing the culture of Australian towns. Many towns are bypassed by big highways with big servos on them. Now those towns are adding chargers and suddenly people are visiting them again. The service station model is Big Oil, hugely expensive and concentrated in high traffic areas. There are only 7000 servos for over 20 million vehicles in Australia. With EVs people will be able to 'fuel' almost anywhere, they don't have to go to one of the only 7000 servos. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jul/22/electric-vehicles-australia
