Very soon you'll be given vouchers to use in restaurants, cafes etc. The government will tell you it's about stimulus for a damaged dining and entertainment industry. It's nothing of the sort - they could give assistance directly to those industries, with much less hassle. They're doing this to force behaviour change in the community, to force people to drop their Covid guard. To make us all more receptive to 'opening up' again. Not a conspiracy, it was already done in the UK - they're copying it. Conservative governments now have 'behavioural nudge units', to try to force changes in behaviour. (NSW's is here: https://www.dpc.nsw.gov.au/programs-and-services/behavioural-insights/) Incidentally this was a public health disaster in the UK. It killed tens of thousands of people. https://qz.com/1896837/how-eat-out-to-help-out-uses-psychology-to-change-behavior/
