A few book reviews. This one is a must-read if you're interested in science and how it works, and what it needs to do to stay relevant to people. Stengers is a world-class thinker, who in this book looks at how 'fast' science - science driven by publications and status rather than actual relevance to people - is destroying science itself. And how science can only survive if it goes back to having conversations with ordinary people again, not to 'popularise' it but to make it a living, breathing enterprise again. Ordinary people have ideas science needs, science has lost its connection with everyday knowledge.
