My favourite thing to watch is Nordic Noir. Watching a lot of shows with sub-titles made me think, notice that no matter the language or ‘culture’, the world people live in looks almost exactly the same. The houses, cars, phones, windows, furniture - the lot. Despite all the sentimental nonsense about ‘love’ and understanding, the thing that really unites all human beings is the material world. Objects and technologies are the glue that hold all societies together. They’re not tools, they’re contractual agreements.
