A lot of our lakes and rivers are increasingly heavy with algae, I know the big recreation lakes here in Lithgow are. It’ll get worse with less rain and more heat. One of the reasons I don’t mind heavily chlorinated town water, I just filter the chloramine out before we drink it, best of both worlds. Swimming in it makes me profoundly nervous.
