Astronaut Bruce McCandless II, on a space walk. Looks like he’s floating over the Earth, in zero gravity. But he’s actually falling, at huge speed. It’s just that he’s falling away from the Earth (sideways) as well, at the same time. Add those huge downwards and sideways speeds together, and you get - an orbit.
