My experience with EVs is that rather than feel frustrated that they may be slower to charge than it takes to put petrol and diesel in, it's actually hugely refreshing to have an extra 5-10 minutes to stretch the legs and relax. Particularly as you don't fast-charge for most driving, only for long trips, where you need the break. I've only used a fast-charger twice, and both times it was for the novelty, I didn't need to. And unlike a fuel bowser, you don't have to hold anything, the charger is hands-free, so you can wander off and do anything you like. When fuelling a petrol or diesel you have to do all of the fuelling first, and go in and pay for it, then come out and move the car, before you can do anything else. If anything often you end up spending more time doing all that than for charging an EV.
